You've created a group clip in Avid Media Composer, but the sync is off. You can adjust the group instead of remaking it.
The Problem
In older versions of Avid, if a group clip's sync was off, you would need to remake the group. This was fine if you caught the sync issue early, but if you made a mistake and missed the sync problem, you could need to re-script a group. Time lost and not fun!
But newer versions of Avid (2018.12 and above) now have a feature that allows you to adjust group clips after they have been created.
The Process
Right click on the group that you would like to adjust.
Select "Edit Group" from the drop down menu.
In the timeline, move your clips to line up your sync points. Or, add a clip if you forgot a camera angle by adding video and audio tracks and cutting in the clip.
Once you're happy with your group, go to the record monitor and right click.
Select "Update Group" from the dropdown menu.
If you want a brand new group, select "New."
If you would like to update the original group, select "Update."
If you would like to continue adjusting, select "Cancel."
Tip: If you made a mistake and you don't want to save your adjustments at all, click on clip name menu in the record monitor and select "Clear Monitor." Then select "Don't Save" from the dialogue box.
